2014 Open Singles: Nominations Due 3 Feb

Click here to download the entry form for the 2014 Open Singles trials event. Entries are due at the captains meeting on 3 February. This is due a lot earlier than in previous years, but only for the open singles. All other trials events will be due later.
Please provide this form to all your team members, and make sure they know when the entries are due. Entry fee is $30, which should be paid at or before the meeting. If you can pay the money directly into the ACTEBA bank account that would be very much preferred. The bank account details can be found here.

Presentation Night and Richard Taliaferro Award
The 2013 Presentation Night is to be held on 22 MARCH, at the Canberra Southern Cross Club, Tuggeranong. Time: 6.30pm for 7.00pm. The cost will be the same as last year ($25 for members, $45 for non-members), with a similar 3-course meal and awards presentation format.
INDICATIVE NUMBERS should be given no later than MONDAY 3 FEBRUARY (10 people per table), and FULL PAYMENT must be made no later than the March meeting (along with any special dietary requirements).
Voting for the 2013 Richard Taliaferro Sportsperson of the Year award is now closed. The winner will be announced at Presentation Night.
2013 Champion of Champions – Labor Club Stickmen
Congratulations to the Labor Club Stickmen, who took out the 2013 Champion of Champions last night with a close 18-16 win over the Fyshwick Tavern Schlutz.
Stickmen captain Matt Power posted a great message on our facebook page:
Just wanted to thank the Schlutz for a great match in the champions of champions grand final last night. It was tight all the way through and either team could have won. Both teams played with grand final enthusiasm but also grand final nerves! The Schlutz are a great bunch of guys, really enjoyed the match, were very gratious in defeat (go Stickies!) and they do our association proud.
Well done to everyone involved.
