KEY DETAILS
  • Registrations only through Eventbrite – do not transfer directly to ACTEBA
  • Open to ACTEBA Members
  • Entries close 6pm Monday 24th October
  • $20 entry per player ($40 per team) + admin fee
  • Venues – To be determined based on entry numbers
  • Seeds – To be determined based on entry numbers. If there are seeds these will be based on the last two years doubles results


INDICATIVE FORMAT

Round 1 & 2 – Group Stages – Dates 29th/30th October and 5th/6th November

  • Round robin x 3
  • Teams will play on one day only
  • Numbers to progress from each group will be dependent on entry numbers
  • Please note: depending on number of entries only one of these two weekends may be required for round robin group play. Teams should be available at least one day on each of the first two weekends.

Round 3 – Top 20 – 11th, 12th and 13th November

  • All players/teams play a double elimination knockout
  • Friday 11th November Evening session may be required depending on final entry numbers and venue availability

Indicative Schedule

  • Play will commence at 11am where possible, but this may vary depending on the venues being used.
  • Tables will be open half an hour before the expected starting time for practice.
  • Rounds will require approximately 7 to 8 hours to complete.
  • There will be no breaks for lunch.
  • Initial groups will be published in line with the new dates for the event.
  • Groups for following rounds will be published by the Tuesday after each round

Adjudicators will be required throughout the comp!

2022 Presentation Night & Winter Finals Day!

Finals and presentation is fast approaching!

Get in quick to secure your tickets to participate in the presentation night at Harmonie German Club, on Saturday 22nd October.

Finals will commence at 12pm, followed by the ACTEBA annual presentation ceremony to celebrate the achievements of teams and individuals throughout the year.

Ticket sales will close on Thursday 20th October.

Richard Taliaferro Award 2022 – Voting Closing Soon

The voting period for the 2022 Richard Taliaferro Award will close at midnight on Wednesday 5th October. Get your vote in now, no late votes will be accepted.

Any ACTEBA member may register one vote only for any one nominee by informing the ACTEBA webmaster at webadmin@acteba.com.au

The nominee achieving the highest number of votes will be announced at the ACTEBA Presentation Event, and will be presented with a memorial keepsake and a perpetual trophy (silver plate) engraved with their name and the relevant year of play.

Richard Taliaferro Award 2022 – Nominations Closing Soon

Nominations for the Richard Taliaferro Award for the 2022 seasons will be closing at midnight on Wednesday 21st September. Once the nomination period has ended, nominees will be listed on the ACTEBA website and the voting process will begin. The voting period will remain open for approximately two weeks. (The date that the voting process will cease will be announced once the nomination period has ended.)

Award Selection Process

During the nomination period, any current ACTEBA member may nominate any member that they believe to have consistently displayed outstanding sportsmanship over a period of at least the previous two full consecutive seasons. Note that previous winners are not eligible to be nominated – the intent of the award is that it be passed on to a new winner every year.

A nomination will count as one vote to the nominee. Nominations can be lodged by email to the ACTEBA webmaster at the following email account webadmin@acteba.com.au

Nominees will be listed on the ACTEBA website.

2022 Ladies Doubles – Adjudicators needed!

Attention State players!
This is your opportunity to receive a 50% contribution from ACTEBA towards attendance at the upcoming Nationals.
ACTEBA is effectively paying you to adjudicate!


The 2022 Ladies Doubles is on this weekend, the 10th and 11th of September. 

Saturday is at the Basement opening at 1pm for a 1.30 start through to 7pm. Note that food will not be available until 4pm so you will need to bring lunch. 

Sunday is at the Harmonie German Club opening at 10am for a 10.30 start, through to the finish.

All that is required is a laptop or tablet with internet access. Scoring will be done on Poolstat.
