2022 Ladies Doubles – Adjudicators needed!

Attention State players!
This is your opportunity to receive a 50% contribution from ACTEBA towards attendance at the upcoming Nationals.
ACTEBA is effectively paying you to adjudicate!


The 2022 Ladies Doubles is on this weekend, the 10th and 11th of September. 

Saturday is at the Basement opening at 1pm for a 1.30 start through to 7pm. Note that food will not be available until 4pm so you will need to bring lunch. 

Sunday is at the Harmonie German Club opening at 10am for a 10.30 start, through to the finish.

All that is required is a laptop or tablet with internet access. Scoring will be done on Poolstat.

Richard Taliaferro Award 2022 – Nominations Open

Nominations are now open for the Richard Taliaferro Award for the 2022 seasons. Nominations will remain open for the next two weeks and will close on Wednesday 21st September. Once the nomination period has ended, nominees will be listed on the ACTEBA website and the voting process will begin. The voting period will remain open for approximately two weeks. (The date that the voting process will cease will be announced once the nomination period has ended.)

Award Selection Process

During the nomination period, any current ACTEBA member may nominate any member that they believe to have consistently displayed outstanding sportsmanship over a period of at least the previous two full consecutive seasons. Note that previous winners are not eligible to be nominated – the intent of the award is that it be passed on to a new winner every year.

A nomination will count as one vote to the nominee. Nominations can be lodged by email to the ACTEBA webmaster at the following email account webadmin@acteba.com.au

Nominees will be listed on the ACTEBA website.

Any member may register one vote only for any one nominee by informing the ACTEBA webmaster at webadmin@acteba.com.au

The nominee achieving the highest number of votes will be announced at the ACTEBA Presentation Event, and will be presented with a memorial keepsake and a perpetual trophy (silver plate) engraved with their name and the relevant year of play.

The perpetual trophy is to be kept by the winner until its return as requested by the Vice President (or Core Executive) prior to the following Presentation event.

The first 6 matches will commence on Saturday at 10am (9.30 open) at the Harmonie German Club.

Note that there are matches from Round 1 and Round 2 for the first matches at 10am.

2022 ACTEBA Open Trials round 3 results and the Top 20

Please see attached the results from Round 3 and those who have qualified for the Top 20 this weekend.

A couple of players will be a withdrawal and their positions are being offered to the next in line so expect a couple of changes to this list ahead of the weekend.

The Top 20 is played across three days at the Harmonie German Club. The format is a Round Robin x4 with the top 6 being offered positions in the ACT Open team.

Schedule
Friday, 6:30pm open for 7pm first frames to approx. 10pm – 14 frames each
Saturday, 9:30am open for 10am first frames to approx. 5pm – 30 frames each approx.
Sunday, 9:30am open for 10am first frames to approx. 5pm – 32 frames each approx.
