[UPDATED Sept 10, 16:50]
Hi all,
Due to a number of issues with the spreadsheet a number of teams did not recieve the points they deserved for their matches.
The following changes have been made:
Div 4 – the Chickenbones and Hot Pockets receive 1 point each for their draw.
Div 4 – The Hot Pockets finally recieve the bonus point from the september meeting (not the kickers as stated in my previous email)
Div 3 – the Budgie Smugglers recieve 2 points for courageously beating the bye.
It looks like the issues have been resolved and looking towards the finals, players can be confident that the ladder accurately reflects the state of affairs in the Winter Comp.
Thankyou for being patient and understanding with these issues.

Hi all,
For the 3rd time, Matt Harmon & Dean Welsh capture the ACT Open Doubles title. It’s actually their 2nd in a row, having won in 2010 and they didn’t team up last year. They also won the title in 2005.
After Saturday’s round robin, the day was very tight all the way through, with 6 frames separating 1st and last place. After a 3 way playoff for 4th spot, the final standings were as follows:
W L
2. Ian Will & Mick Norton 14 7
8. Dean Welsh & Matt Harmon 12 9
6. Anthony Chia & Andrew Pearce 11 10
9. Michael Hazilias & Rony Sood * 10 11
1. Bob Sifri & Edmund Chen 10 11
10. Brent Hampton & Jason Tanaskovic 10 11
5. Nicole Welsh & Semisi Naupoto 9 12
65. Phillip Thorp & Simon Wade 8 13
The top 4 was then held on Sunday, and the closeness of the contest continued, with Matt & Dean winning all 3 matches but each other team winning 1 each. Frame percentage got Mick & Mongrel into the final (just) where they came back from 2 nil down to lead 4-3 before eventually going down 5-4. Great contest.
Special thanks to both Rolf and Semisi for adjudicating at such late notice. Your help was very much appreciated, cheers.
