2019 Open Trials – Top 20

Congratulations to the players who have reached the final weekend. There are at least 3 people I know of that have reached the top 20 for the first time. Great to see some new faces in the Top 20.

Nathan Miller will join the Top 20, as Michael Masal is unable to play. So if anyone else is unable to play the top 20, please let me know ASAP and I will replace you with next person inline from your group.

Top 20 is played in 2 weeks time on 31st May, 1st & 2nd June.

Play starts at 7pm on Friday evening and will go through till about 10pm. Players will return on Saturday and Sunday @ 10.30am for 11am start.
Format for Top 20 is a round robin x 4

Entries close 17th June (If you enter and finish 1st or 2nd in Ladies Singles event your entry fee will be reimbursed)

Format is a round robin x 3, with top 5 players in each group progressing to the Top 20

2019 Open Trials – Rd 2 Groups

Round 2 is played this weekend, venues open at 10.30am for 11am start.

Format is a round robin x 3, with top 4 from each group progressing to round 3.

A reminder, if you can’t play this weekend please let me know as you will be replaced with next in line from your group last week.

The 2019 Open Trials starts this weekend, 4th & 5th May, please see attached groups for this round.

2019 Open Trials – Rd 1 Groups

All venues open at 10.30am for an 11am start.

If you are available to adjudicate please let me know ASAP?

The format for this year’s trials are as follows:

Round 1 – 4th & 5th May (Top 32 seeds have a Bye)– Round robin x 3 with top 4 players progressing to round 2
Round 2 – 11th & 12th of May – (9th – 32nd seed come in) – 8 Groups of 8 players – Round robin x 3 with top 4 progressing to round 3
Round 3 – 18th & 19th of May (Top 8 seeds come in) – 4 groups of 10 players – Round robin x 3 with top 5 progressing to round 4
Round 4 – 31st May (Evening), 1st & 2nd of June – (Top 20) – Round robin x 4 with top 7 players making the ACT Open Team

NOTE: The Top 20 will start on Friday 31st @ 7pm and will play half round 1 (will finish around 10 – 10.30pm). This will enable the Top 20 to be finished in 1 weekend.

There is also one weekends break between round 3 & 4 due to the Long weekend on 25th of May.
