2014 Masters Results

Congratulations to Mongrel for winning the 2014 Masters Singles last weekend. This makes it 5 Masters titles in a row for Mongrel, which is a record for ACTEBA for individual events, with previously 3 in a row being the record.

Mongrel defeated Pete Smith in the final 9-7. It was a close fought match with Pete getting off to a great start leading 3 – 0. Pete led until the 11th frame before Mongrel railed together 4 of the last 5 frames to take the title. Congratulation to Pete for making the final and pushing Mongrel all the way.

Well done to Phil Morton & Rolf Bandte on making the top 4. They will join Mongrel and Pete to make up the 2014 Masters Team to represent ACT in Darwin at the Nationals in October this year.

Thank you to Trent for adjudicating the top 4 and keeping the scores up to date so those not there could view the Live Scores. Also, thanks to all involved in the trials so far and I appreciate the positive comments on the way things are running 

This concludes another trials event in the 2014 Calendar. Next event is the Ladies Singles that starts this Saturday (good luck to those playing).

Good luck to those playing in the Grand Finals tonight (Go EMBALMERS )
