Day 2 at the 2010 AEBF Eight Ball Nationals has concluded, with the ACT putting in some strong showings over the first two days.Our Open Team is sitting equal 3rd after 2 wins and 2 losses, including a victory over last year’s runners up Victoria. Semisi Naupoto is currently leading the titles in master breaks with 4. Some tight matches in the singles on day 1 saw only 4 ACT Open players advance to the second round, with Mongrel, Kev Harrow, Mick Norton and Rony Sood all in action on Thursday evening.
The Ladies are again starting the strongest, sitting equal 2nd with 3 wins and just the one loss to the undefeated Victorians, and Nicole Welsh is leading the titles on an incredible 91.66%!!! Meanwhile, 5 of the 9 ladies have made it through to the second round of the singles. Good luck to Nicole, Cath Rollinson, Cindy Blackmore, Les O’Connor and Michelle Massey on Friday morning.
The Masters have suffered some tight losses and are sitting equal 7th, but Mongrel is currently 7th in the nation in percentages. The Masters singles kick off on Saturday morning.
