Congratulations to the Southern Guns who won the second round of this year’s State of Origin 21-13! This was through dominance in the teams, winning three of the four matches, and across the singles/doubles where the result was 18-12. This means the Guns have a 2-0 series lead and the third round in November will be the chance for the Potters to try and save face.
There was a great atmosphere and energy in the room and certainly some fun pool to be had.
We are getting there in terms of getting this new format running smoothly. A couple of items that will be looked at for next time:
– A bit confusing when mixing teams and singles/doubles into a single session. While in the first round we did one type of event per session this does make the day go significantly longer so we will see what we can do.
– Get a running tally up on the big screen so that players can be more invested in the overall results
