It was pointed out to me very early that my Top 16 ladder I sent with the email was calculated against 52 frames played instead of the 60 that were actually played. This was because I used last year’s primitive spreadsheet that had only 14 players. You’ll notice this has been amended since.
Well I’ve tried to make amends by providing possibly the most detailed statistical analysis of any Eight Ball Tournament anywhere. Yes, I am a stats nerd and I know there are a few poor souls like me out there.
Therefore I offer the following feast for your perusal:
Top 16 Results
Round by round head to head results
Summary of head to head results
Master Break Results
Playoff Results
Top 16 Leaderboards
Leaderboard for each round and day
Running Leaderboard by round
Players’ position by round
Top 16 Breaking and Receiving
Breaking and Receiving Stats
If you are stats inclined and love playing with excel, then by all means send me a nice little programme that will avoid the time I spent on this. (Not that I’m complaining, mind you).
Following the Top 4 this weekend I will be posting a full summary of players’ stats who entered the 2010 ACTEBA Open Singles Title. Sorry but it won’t be as involved as these – just frames won and lost I’m afraid. But maybe one day we’ll be in a position to purchase laptops for all adjudicators which give a live stream to the web…
In the meantime, enjoy my simple Excel spreadsheets.
Regards
Chris Jones
