Hi all
Round One of the finals saw all 5 Minor Premiers successful, but only the Crackpots were able to fly the flag for the 2nd place finishers.
Most matches were decided fairly early, but the Stickmen and Crackpots had to wait till the last frame of the match to seal 13-11 wins, while the Gringos gave up an 8-4 lead to put them into a playoff. At 2-2 in the playoff, the Gringos’ captain stepped up to win the final frame and take the win 15-14.
Some players are still unsure of the format for the finals, so from here the Round 1 winners play each other for a spot in the Grand Final, while the losers play to stay in the finals, with the loser of that match eliminated. The following week will see the loser of the round 1 winners play the winner of the round 1 losers for a spot in the Grand Final.
Below are the results for Round One, followed by the draw for Round Two. Can all home captains please make their venue aware of their match.
