Note: Chisholm & Burns Club groups start at 10.30am (tables open from 10am). The HGC groups starts at 11am.
The format for the groups is a round robin x 3 with the top 4 in each group qualifying for the Main Draw of the Singles knockout. As there are 13 spots available, the player that finishes with the most wins in 5th spot out of the 3 groups will take the 13th spot. If there is a tie for 5th spot, the player who is ranked higher as per Sept 2016 Rankings will progress through (no playoff)
If any players for whatever reason need to withdraw as they can’t play, please let me know before Saturday as I may change the groups so they are even and I may swap venues so the smaller groups play on the venues with only 2 tables.
Also, the group that is at Chisholm there is a function on that evening and you have to vacate the venue by 6pm. There is no reason your group should take longer than this and based on 10 minutes per frame you should finish by 5.30pm. All adjudicators will be watching your time closely and you have to have the 20/20 shot clock in mind when playing your shot. If players continue to drag out shots the adjudicators will instruct the players that are not playing to start timing the frames. If the group is not finished at 6pm, the standing at that point will be the final result and no more frames are to be played.
Lastly, the list of players in the main draw including seeds are attached. If any player that is in the main draw withdraws, their spot will be offered to the next player inline from the qualifier groups – 2017 Open Singles – Final List
Session times for the main draw will be out in the next few days….. and the draw will be completed on Sunday after the qualifiers are determined. All players will be advised what time their first match is on (approx) and a reminder that the first 6 matches will be played on Friday night (19th May) @ 7.30pm…….. the winners from these 6 matches will have a later start on the Saturday.
