From the start of the Summer comp we will be using the 20/20 timer e.g. you have 40 seconds to play a shot and get a warning at 20 seconds. Also, it was suggested to bring the start time forward to 7.30pm and this has received good support. So this will be discussed at the January meeting and is likely to come into play from the start of the season.
Please note: The January meeting is on the second Monday of the month….. being the 9th January.
I would ask that all captains ensure their venues are aware the season is starting, and provide them with a copy of the draw so they know when to expect players to show up.
Each week please just take a photo of the score sheet and SMS or email it to me (email preferred). If the photo is clear, no need to write the score in the text. If you do not have a phone with capabilities of taking/sending a photo, please have someone in your team send it on your behalf. Alternatively, you can fill in an excel version of the score sheet and email it to me. Results due by 9am Thursdays. This will enable me to update the full stats and results on a weekly basis.
If you do send a photo of the scoresheet each week….. there is no need to hand your scoresheets in at the monthly captains meeting
Just a note regarding the Calendar….. the format for the trials is yet to be finalised and there will be changes. I would like to thank all the people that completed the survey regarding the trials….. there was about 80 responses and I am currently going through the results of the survey. I will have more info regarding the trials, format and dates in the next few weeks. The dates on the Calendar for the trials won’t change too much if at all. Also, a few dates of events have changed as per some suggestions from members. So please go through the calendar again to check what has changed from the draft issues a couple months ago.
