2026 Summer Competition – Outstanding Fees

Due to when we took entries for our summer competition (end of 2025, before AEBF affiliation was available) we did not capture the AEBF affiliation fees for 2026. In addition to this an administrative error caused the ACTEBA 2026 Summer Competition fee to be charged incorrectly ($70 instead of the correct fee of $90 per season).

This means there are three fees that need to be captured:

– $20 ACTEBA Summer Competition fee. This applies to ALL PLAYERS.

– $15 annual AEBF Affiliation Fee. Applies to ALL PLAYERS.

– $20 annual AEBF Affiliation Fee for Representative players. Applies to all players who have traveled to Junior Nationals, Senior Nationals, and the Aus Cup in the past 5 years.

This has been set up to be captured through PlayHQ at the following link: https://www.playhq.com/sports/register/a1bd14

If you have already paid your 2026 AEBF affiliation fee please send the tournament director td@acteba.com.au a copy of your email confirmation/invoice and a voucher code to discount the AEBF affiliation component of the above will be provided.

The form handles the $15 AEBF affiliation and the $20 ACTEBA season fees for everyone.

If you are a representative player this needs to be added as a product on page 5. There are questions in the form that will guide you through what is needed based on whether you have already paid your AEBF affiliation or if you are a representative player.

For the question “Do you play for a club, but are registering to the association/league your club plays in?” The answer is “No”.

We would like everyone to be paid and up to date by Friday 15th May.

2026 ACTEBA Singles Championships Schedule

Schedule of Play
Please see the link to view the Schedule of play for all of this weekend’s Singles Championships.
Clashes have been avoided except for the thread of matches highlighted in red. Depending on results in earlier matches these may end up running later than anticipated.
Players should ensure that they are at the Harmonie German Club when your match gets called. Aside from the first matches on each day the schedule is a guide – matches in subsequent sessions may get called earlier as tables become available. We are using Poolstat’s SMS feature that will send you a message with a table allocation and match PIN, if matches are not started within a reasonable time frame after the SMS is sent then YOU WILL BE FORFEIT.

Playing Matches
Lag for the first break and then alternate breaks. Poolstat will ask for the first player to break when starting the match. Please finalise your match in Poolstat and the results will automatically come across so that the next matches can be called.

Dress Code
There is no strict dress code other than please no trackies or similar very casual gear. There will be two streaming tables across both Saturday and Sunday and these will look best if you are neat and tidy. A simple polo shirt similar to what many teams wear in the weekly comp is fine.

The draw for this competition can be accessed at the following PoolStat link: 2025 ACTEBA Champion of Champions competition.

The by-laws for this comp are below. Please ensure your teams are the same as the team that won your division in the season that you won.

ACTEBA by-laws January 2023

72.  The Champion of Champions tournament will be an annual handicapped knockout competition for the grand final winners of each division for the previous Summer and Winter competitions. This tournament shall take place after the completion of the Winter competition and prior to the commencement of the following years Summer competition.
For the purposes of this competition the Vice-President shall act as the Tournament Director. The tournament will be held at venues determined by the Tournament Director. The Tournament Director reserves the right to vary the draw if required.

73.  Each match will consist of 25 frames, divided into 4 rounds of 6 frames, plus 1 doubles match. The format for the competition shall be the same as the Weekly competitions (refer By-Law 9), with the exception of the doubles match, played between rounds 2 and 3. For this match, any 2 players may pair up from the team without the need for substitution, i.e. player 8 may pair with player 9 for the home team, and player A with player H for the away team. Home and away teams for each match will be determined by a coin toss.

74.  The teams invited to compete shall be those that were the divisional champions (i.e. winner of the grand final) for the previous Summer and Winter competitions, and a team representing the Junior competition. Should a team win 2 divisions in the year they shall play in the higher of the 2 divisions, and the lower spot shall be left void. Should a team win a division twice, they are only allocated one spot in the draw. Should a team decline the invitation to participate, that slot for the draw shall be replaced with a bye (i.e. another team will not be invited to take their place).

75.  Only team members from the victorious team are eligible to play in that team. A player may only represent one (1) team during this competition.

76. The Junior representative team shall be selected by the Junior Development Officer, with the following selection criteria; a) at the time of the tournament players are still eligible to represent the state at the Junior National event, and b) players have in the last calendar year participated for at least 1 term of the Junior training or state trials competition.

77.  The handicap shall be as follows:
(a) Super League: +0
(b) 1st Division: +4
(c) 2nd Division: +6
(d) 3rd Division: +8
(e) 4th Division: +10
(f) 5th Division: +12
(g) Juniors team: +10

78.  At the completion of all 25 frames, handicaps shall be added to both team’s score to determine the winner. For example, if a 1st Division team defeated a 3rd Division team 14-11, the winner would be the 3rd division team by a score of 19-18 after addition of 8 handicap points.
