News: Adam Marlow cleans up the Kiwis with a pub cue.

News in from Dan Marlow:

I just wanted to let you know that my brother, Adam, who made a lot of friends in ACTEBA whilst playing in Canberra and who has been in New Zealand this year won the New Zealand 8-Ball Champs in Tokoroa yesterday.

When I spoke to him yesterday he was pleased to have done it at his first attempt but said that he would like to have had a go at the Australian Champs while he was here. He also didn’t take his cue to NZ and managed the feat with a rack cue from the venue. Nice!

Anyway, I thought that you (and ACTEBA) would be keen to know that Canberra pool is being well represented in New Zealand.

Regards,
Danny.

… great effort!

Results: 2009 State of Origin Division 2

The Division 2 Northern Potters wrested back the lead from the Southern Guns with a commanding 20-12 victory last night. The Potters produced back to back rounds of 6-2 in rounds 2 and 3, and despite a late rally from the Guns were able to give the Potters a 66-62 lead going into the final round.

Next week sees the cream of Division One battle it out for the Title, with the Guns keen to make up the difference with a big first round. Come down to the Labor Club to watch what should be a great match.
