Results: 2009 Open Doubles Round 3
Hi all
Round 3 of the Open Doubles was held over the weekend at The Maram. Both of the remaining groups were extremely tight, with only the last round sorting out the top 4 in Group 2 on the Saturday, while Group 1 on the Sunday saw a playoff for 4th, where any of up to 5 pairs were in with a chance of making with half an hour to go.
The Top 8 and Top 4 will be held next Saturday and Sunday at The Maram, with some great play expected. Well played to the 8 pairs who bowed out this weekend, it was a great showing evidenced by how close the groups were.
Come down and watch the final 8 do battle on Saturday, play starts at 10:30am.

Results: 2009 Open Doubles Round 2
Hi all
Round 2 of the Open Doubles was held over the weekend, with some extremely good play and tight groups resulting in some tense finishes.
In fact, one group came down to the second last frame of the day with a chance of a four way playoff! That didn’t happen, but the last frame still gave a chance of a three way playoff, which once again didn’t eventuate. Still, it was a close thing…
Well played to the teams who missed out this week – the 16 who made it through are looking at a tough challenge next week!
