Sid won the play-off for 5th position with Tolly in 6th place, Gerard won the play-off for 11th position followed by Doug 12th and Fabio 13th.

2021 ACTEBA Masters Trials – Top 16

Afternoon,

Congratulations to those who have made it through the group stage of the 2021 Masters.

Please see the following links results from round 1 and the list of 16 who will be playing this weekend at the Harmonie German Club.

The club will be available from 10.00am with a 10.30am start on each day.

The format being a round robin x4 with the top 5 qualifying for the ACTEBA Masters Team. Based on previous events play is expected to finish around 5.00pm each day.

2021 ACTEBA Masters Trials – Round 1 Groups

Morning All,

Please see attached the groups for Round 1 of the 2021 Masters Trials to be played this weekend.

Round 1 Groups

There are four seeds who are not required to play this week:

– Sid Scott

– Jack Dehm

– Neil Whitbread

– Gerard Johnson

This week is a Round Robin x3 and the top three from each group will proceed to join the seeds in next weekend’s top 16.

Venues will open at 10:30am for an 11:00am start.

If you’re not playing on a particular day and are available to adjudicate please let me know.

2021 ACTEBA Masters Singles Championship

The Masters Singles Championship will be held from Friday 12th March to Sunday 14th of March 2021 at the Harmonie German Club.  This year it looks like it will be necessary to play a number of matches on the Friday night at 6pm and 8pm.

COVID Reminder

As our ongoing responsibilities regarding COVID, I would like to remind everyone while attending any ACTEBA event at the Harmony German Club (HGC) you must abide by the following:

1)            Must register your attendance to the Club on entry.  (Check in CBR app or by way of manual entry on the forms provided at entry)

2)            Do not attend any ACTEBA events if you are showing any flulike signs or symptoms, including sore throat, running nose, coughing etc…. 

In conjunction with above please observe and continue to follow the ACTEBA COVID safety plan which is attached.

Richard Taliaferro Award – Voting Closing Soon

The voting process for the Richard Taliaferro Award will close tomorrow at midnight (Tuesday 9th February).

Voting Process

A nomination counts as one vote to the nominee.

Any member may register one vote only for any one nominee by informing the ACTEBA webmaster at mailto:webadmin@acteba.com.au

The nominee achieving the highest number of votes will be announced at the ACTEBA Presentation Event, and will be presented with a memorial keepsake and a perpetual trophy (silver plate) engraved with their name and the relevant year of play.

The perpetual trophy is to be kept by the winner until its return as requested by the Vice President (or Core Executive) prior to the following Presentation event.

2021 Summer Comp Draws

Good morning,

Attached are the draws for the upcoming season, starting Wednesday 13 January 2021.  Please note the grading shifts as we have an extra team this season.  Byes will continue to exist in Divisions 3 and 4.

Poolstat PINS for each team will also be sent out by the weekend.
