Hall of Fame Induction – 2017 ACT Ladies Eight Ball Team
The ACT Eight Ball Association proudly inducts the 2017 ACT Ladies Eight Ball Team into the ACTEBA Hall of Fame, honouring a landmark achievement that forever changed the trajectory of women’s eight ball in the ACT.
In 2017, on home soil in Canberra, the ACT Ladies Team secured ACTEBA’s first ever Australian Team Title at the Australian National Eight Ball Championships. Before this historic victory, the ACT had reached the Australian grand final only once (Adelaide 2010)—a moment that ignited a long‑term commitment from the team to return, rebuild, and rise again.
Across years of determination and steady improvement, the team became a consistent finals contender. Their 2017 campaign showcased that evolution. After finishing 4th on the ladder following the round‑robin stage, the ACT faced a demanding finals run, defeating both New South Wales and Victoria to earn their place in the Grand Final.
With a roaring home crowd behind them, the ACT Ladies delivered a commanding performance against Queensland, triumphing 13–6 and claiming the national title in front of their families, supporters, and the ACT eight ball community.
